CAMP COSTELLO FARMS OF TENNESSEE

At Camp Costello Farms Honey, we pride ourselves in bringing you the very best of our hand harvested 100% pure, raw local honey that’s direct from our beehives to your family’s table to enjoy. We currently specialize in small batch seasonal wildflower honeys, beeswax products, pollen, and other farm products as they are seasonally made available.

We are a husband and wife team who have always loved working together from the very beginning…

Both born and raised in North Georgia, Oliver and Lisa Costello met while in a college Biology class as lab partners. Each went on to major and work in different fields of science. Oliver’s background is in wildlife ecology and geology. Lisa’s background is in environmental microbiology and fungi. Oliver grew up camping, hiking, woodworking, and enjoyed learning about outdoor wildlife. Lisa grew up on a small family farm where she learned about plants, gardening, cooking, and raising chickens. Oliver and Lisa have been married for almost 25 years. They have one daughter and an assortment of family critters.

The family began beekeeping, along with chickens and a garden, over a decade ago because it was not only challenging, but something their family could enjoy learning about together. Their adventures, while living in many different areas of the country in many different environments, have helped them learn a diverse skill set in setting up their permanent homestead in West Tennessee in 2020.

When friends and family began to visit, the name “Camp Costello” came about because it felt like one could relax with nature and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The property includes several ponds, natural wildflower fields, native trees and grasses, and a variety of animals along with the farm experience.

Camp Costello Farms is located on 30 acres in the northern part of Carroll County in the Hollow Rock/Mixie community area, along with properties in adjacent counties in West Tennessee. The family has spent time restoring and revitalizing their main property so it could better sustain flora and fauna, and manage it to promote better pollinator habitat. The Costello’s also strive to bring fresh artisan products to the local area as they continue to grow. Thank you for supporting your local family of beekeepers!
